CPAP/BiPAP machines

Machines, Masks for Sleep Apnea Treatment Pose Health Risks

If you or a loved one have used the machines and masks made by Philips Respironics for treating sleep apnea, you should know about the dangers of these devices. On June 14, Philips issued a recall for many of its CPAP, BiPAP and ventilator machines because of concerns that users may inhale small particles of the foam used to dampen sound while the machines are in use. The recall notes that the foam may degrade over time and may also emit at least two harmful toxins.

This potentially deadly combination can damage the kidneys, liver and lungs, and may lead to inflammation, cancer, asthma, and other respiratory injuries.

We encourage you to learn more about the recall and contact the Beasley Allen Law Firm.  Our attorneys have deep experience in product liability cases,  with  the drive to aggressively represent those who have been harmed and a well-earned reputation for holding manufacturers  accountable.
